OTHER SUGGESTIONS

TOLEDO CIGARRALES
The Cigarrales are
beautiful constructions blending
rustic and monastery architecture adapted to the rough Toledo
landscape. The buildings are
surrounded by paved terraces and courtyards covered by flowers and
trees.
They were
considered, from the Renaissance, rest
residences and an external sign of social prestige, suitable for gatherings of priests and noble people,
intellectuals
and artists. They became prestigious centres of creativity and
knowledge during
the Golden Century.
Turned into
a tourist resource, they are highly suitable places for events and any
kind of celebrations. The Cigarrales offer a
natural
environment, marvellous views over the city, beautiful buildings and
high
gastronomic level. They are a superb option to celebrate any event.

THE ARRIVAL
OF GUESTS
A good host
must follow these protocol suggestions:
- The hosts receive the guests at the main door that
opens onto the assembly hall.
- If any of the guests is not known to the others, the host
should arrange introductions.
- The guests should arrive a few minutes before the
appointed time. This allows for introductions. A person should
accompany the guest to his or her assigned place. The traditional
moment in
lunches
and dinners is the aperitif that should last for about half an hour
- Take care of what is to be served. It is better to serve
little but delicious than a lot with lower quality.
- In lunches and dinners, if a guest does not arrive on
time, the aperitif can be extended for ten more minutes. After that,
the host
must guide the attendants to sit at the table(s). The dining set
for the guest who haven't arrived should be
left on the table until the main dish is served, the moment when the
set is to
be removed.
- Be alert regarding the weather, especially in winter. A
wardrobe service should be organized to take care of garments and
objects.
- Suitable parking facilities must be indicated. A small
map indicating the nearest public
parking
lot or the zone where the parking is allowed could be enclosed
with the invitation.
